Job Type: Internship
We are seeking a motivated Data Science Intern to support automation, machine learning, and data pipeline development. This role offers hands-on experience in our software department, working hand-in-hand with our metrology teams to analyze laboratory data and enhance data processing and reporting.

Position Responsibilities
- Develop automated business and scientific reports.
- Manage a knowledge base for company-wide data utilization.
- Design data analysis algorithms, including machine learning applications.
- Assist in building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines.
- Create a database of laboratory instruments.
- Analyze past metrology projects for insights and improvements.
- Ensure data integrity and security compliance.
Desired Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with databases, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with scientific instrumentation is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:
- Sitting & standing for long periods of time in an office on-site setting
- Phone and computer operations for the majority of the work
- Lifting 15 lb. safely occasionally
- Mainly indoor controlled office environment.
Salary Range: $18 to $25 hourly
