Job Description

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

The Project Operations Coordinator is a key player in the timely flow of customer order processing. The role supports received orders from customer sites, internally distributing & coordinating their flow according to standard procedure through the project lifecycle. A key aspect of the position is the data entry of testing results and expended lab time. The individual successful in this role demonstrates initiative to embrace & continuously improve overall process flow, develop effective working relationships with the lab staff, and a focus that ensures accurate data transfer.

Salary Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Type: Full Time Hourly, Mid-Shift 1pm to 9pm

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the entire workflow of service orders from sample intake to data/reports deliverable to customers.
  • Register and distribute samples in a timely manner to the appropriate lab engineer or analyst.
  • Pick up completed sample analysis and conduct release of data steps after quality control checks including results and lab time expenditure.
  • Trusted communication link between teams / labs in support of efficient sample flow through the operation.
  • Awareness of repeat order cycles.
  • Assist in the order quoting process as needed.
  • Drive orders to completion working with tech and operations in highly efficient and timely manner.
  • Use Digital Platform applications and tools for managing workflow tasks and steps.
  • Support data collection of metrics and generation of operations reports.
  • Safely operate company vehicle to pick up and drop off customer samples.
  • Coordinate with others the return of samples to customer sites.
  • Focus during each step of the process to ensure the accuracy and completeness of given tasks.

Desired Qualifications

General

  • Individual Initiative, independence and reliability are a must.
  • Good communication skills, including listening and capturing details, explaining unique circumstances from customer requests as well as internal team concerns.
  • Prior experience in executing on process flow and project completion that demonstrates a mindset to understanding the importance of each step of the project.
  • Experience in a lab environment is preferred, albeit orientation and training will be provided.
  • Demonstrated solution-oriented customer service and communication skills.
  • Willingness to adapt as the role evolves in either administrative or operations directions.
  • Must have a clean DMV and a valid California Class C driver’s license (insurance requirement).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Associate degree or equivalent and applicable experience.
  • Certification in Mechanical Engineering or Physics or equivalent, including military background, with applicable experience.

Physical

  • Be able to work swing shifts going from afternoon to evening (typically 1 – 9 pm Pacific Time).
  • Standing, walking, and sitting frequently during an eight-hour shift.
  • Able to lift 15 pounds safely with full dexterity to handle sample packages.
  • Able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Mainly indoor temperature-controlled environments.
